Changing Habits' counseling techniques help individuals, couples and families feel better about their lives, break bad habits and change unwanted behavior. Treatment is based on the belief that most of our feelings are habits. We've learned to interpret situations from a particular perspective and we repeat these interpretations over and over again without consciously thinking about them. By definition, this is a habit…something that lives in our subconscious that we do or feel without thinking about it.

Providing counseling and psychotherapy, this private practice in the Fox Valley is based on the belief that to provide each client the best chance for making a successful change in life, both the conscious and the subconscious parts of the mind must be addressed. Counseling that is focused on discussing what you feel is a necessary part of treatment, but I believe it should not be the only treatment. There is a lifetime of experiences, interpretations and beliefs that lay below the surface in our subconscious that play enormous roles on our ability to have life satisfaction. I use hypnosis therapy to help clients change long-held assumptions and beliefs that contribute to unwanted emotional or behavioral habits.
